Psychic is a general term used to describe people who are considered "gifted” and who have actually studied, trained and developed their psychic and intuitive abilities. Everyone is psychic and this is often known as our Sixth Sense, though in general humans have not exercised in Western cultures it for many millennia. Like sports personalities, some are more “gifted” than others, but all athletes require constant “training”, as do our psychic 'muscles', which like for any muscle in the body, if 'you don’t use it you lose it'.
If you want a message from a deceased Loved One, then a Mediumship reading is what you require.
There is a lot of misunderstanding in esoteric terminology around Mediumship and Clairvoyance.
A Medium is not receiving the information directly through their own personal perception, but using their ability to communicate with the unseen world to deliver a message from spirit to the client.
Astrology works with the planetary positions at the time, place and date of your birth. An Astrology reading will tell you about your personality strengths and weaknesses. It can give you guidance as to what types of career will suit your personality as well as what other astrological types of people you will get on with best. Retrospectively it can tell you about major changes and shifts that have occurred in your life and in a predictive sense it can be used to forecast periods of particular opportunity or challenge over the immediate to long term future in either a general or a detailed way.
In an aura reading the Consultant will be clairvoyantly reading the information held in the colours within your aura and chakras. Anyone with a good degree of psychic awareness will normally sense information from the energy field when ‘tuning in’ to a client for a reading, it just will not be termed an aura reading. The ability to ‘see’ the aura is a specialist form of clairvoyance.
Colour reading has become increasingly popular in recent years and is done using as colour cards or coloured objects, including crystals and ribbons.
Each colour has a number of associated attributes that can be related to the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of our being. Colour Readings utilise one or more pre-set structures within which the client's selection of colours is laid out and interpretations given.
The art of reading a crystal ball or other crystals is known as "scrying". A crystal ball is a crystal or glass ball believed by some people to aid in the performance of clairvoyance. It is sometimes known as a shew stone or show stone ("shew" is an archaic spelling of "show"). A body of water, either in a container or on the ground can also used for this purpose and is called a scrying bowl of pool.
Graphology, the art of studying and interpreting handwriting, is another ancient form of analysing someone’s personality, general characteristics, emotional, mental and spiritual inclinations.
A Graphology reading provides an assessment of your key personality traits such as ambition, energy, sociability, adaptability, sensitivity etc. and is based upon the concept that the central nervous system provides a direct and undistorted link to the deeper unconscious self and that someone's handwriting reflects that inner self.
The I Ching or Yi King has influenced Chinese thought and culture for thousands of years, both as an oracle and as a book of wisdom. Its title translates as 'The Book of Changes' and each of its 64 hexagrams represent a particular interplay of the forces of Yang and Yin through which change comes about.
In the past cards used for divination purposes were one of the many Tarot decks. In recent years many other sets of cards have been developed for different purposes, such as Angel Cards, Soul Cards, Mermaid Cards and there are even cat and dog cards. These types of cards may have sayings or numbers as well as pictures on them and are not a complete symbolic system like Tarot, in themselves. They can be read individually or as a group, using the information on the cards plus the intuitive ability of the reader.
The basis of Numerology is the belief that everything in the universe is energy and that every energy has its own vibration. The Bible tells us “first there was sound” and as we know sound is a vibration and thoughts are inner sound vibrations. Science tells us that the sound of each person's voice is as unique as a fingerprint. Therefore the sound of your full name at birth as well as the date of your birth, when converted into its numerical equivalent, has its own unique vibration.
Palmistry is a very ancient art, especially favoured in the East, but it has developed in a variety of ways in many cultures. It is based upon the interpretation of general characteristics of one’s hands i.e. shape, size, finger length etc., together with the lines, their patterns and other characteristics which appear on the palms and fingers.
Although the general nature of one's hands does not change, the lines and patterns often do.
Runes are a very ancient divination system that has been used in various similar forms around the world in a variety of cultures. Currently it is enjoying a strong revival based on the ancient Germanic and Nordic traditions.
A number of small tablets, often stones, are each marked or inscribed with symbols called runic characters. These are then 'cast' or selected from a pouch and, depending upon the individual Consultant's chosen method, the specific runes and the patterns they form are interpreted.
The Tarot has an ancient history and was reputedly first used in ancient Egypt. It has become one of the most widely used of all divinatory systems. There are a myriad of different decks available for readers to choose from and all Consultants will have their favourite decks. Although the cards may all look different on the surface the ancient symbolism is consistent and can be read in a variety of ways depending upon the culture of individual readers.
