What to expect from a reading

Each divinatory method has its own strengths and weaknesses especially when combined with the differing expertise and experience of the reader.

There are two broad classes of divinatory systems in use today.

  1. Those that are based on some form of specialist knowledge such as Astrology, Numerology, Palmistry or Tarot;
  2. Those that are primarily based on developed Psychic, Clairvoyant and Mediumistic abilities.

In most cases, certainly with an experienced reader, these will overlap. Even Astrology, being the most scientific of all divination systems, requires intuition when interpreting how the many variables involved will work together for each individual client.

To further complicate matters some systems are better than others for particular purposes and so it is not surprising that a good many people are uncertain what kind of assistance and information they can expect from the various disciplines offered by professional Consultants.

So how do you know what type of reading to have?

Firstly you need to be aware of what type of information you require. What questions are you asking? How much depth and detail you want? How much do you want to spend?

Readers usually charge according to their expertise and experience as well as the time taken with any particular methodology. For instance with Astrology, Chinese Astrology and Numerology, a lot of preparatory work is done by your consultant prior to an appointment and this time will be included in their price.
